Almost every successful product is eventually watered down. Gourmet burgers are substituted with junk food. Silk suits have polyester alternatives. Certain popular beverages were quite literally watered down over the years.

With its market value predicted to reach $9.69 billion by 2025, CBD (cannabidiol) is no exception. More and more companies are fighting for a slice of the cannabis pie. Undercutting the competition is only natural. But doing so often requires making compromises, including low growing standards and poor-quality ingredients.

Ensure that you’re getting what you pay for with the following guidelines for choosing where to buy CBD products.

Determine Your Needs

Consider why you want to try CBD in the first place. Remember that you can buy it in several different forms, including:

  • Creams and lotions
  • Oils and tinctures
  • Vaporizers
  • Edibles

The most effective option depends on your requirements. For example, inhaling CBD with a vape pen swiftly addresses muscle pains and cramps. Oil drops take longer, while some people feel creams immediately and others only hours later. It’s also important to decide whether you want a broad-spectrum, full-spectrum or CBD isolate.

Medical Claims

As you may already know, CBD is associated with many health benefits. They range from relieving pain and reducing anxiety to fighting acne and stopping seizures. While there’s a growing amount of research and increasing acceptance among scientific groups, CBD is yet to be proven as a reliable cure for any life-threatening conditions.

Sellers who claim otherwise are potentially misleading customers and should be approached with caution. Any CBD store that mentions products as a remedy for illness or disease is uninformed at best.

Transparency

Just like reading through the ingredients list on food packaging, you should know what goes into your CBD products. This can be challenging when you’re unfamiliar with the myriad of related facts and information. Reputable suppliers should have no problem providing clear and simple explanations of any label.

Independent Testing

When ConsumerLab analyzed some common CBD products, they discovered dosage inconsistencies and the presence of contaminants including mold, cadmium and arsenic. In order to mitigate these issues, manufacturers hire independent third parties to test their products. All brands are mandated to submit the results of these tests to vendors.

For instance, CBDistellery advertises that the products they stock are fully lab-tested. Head over to this website for a handy cbdistillery coupon as well as detailed reviews on CBD stores.

Product Availability

The selection of brands on offer speaks volumes for the level of effort a CBD seller has put into researching and finding good products. If the shop only carries one brand, chances are that their priority is to sell that specific product regardless of possibly healthier alternatives.

Additionally, you need to be able to compare different brands. This helps you find more suitable and affordable products from reputable manufacturers.

Don’t forget to check the reputation of the CBD store before finalising your order. Reviews and testimonials, as well as social media pages, can provide a wealth of information on the company you’re considering.
