You little princess you. You managed to catch the eye of a gent who loves all things love. He is the epitome of chivalrous and sets the butterflies in your toned tummy aflutter. Want to keep the love buzz a comin’? Here, we offer you tips on how to land a diehard romantic. Saddle up, sista:
1. Send little texts throughout the day of the inner workings of your mind: Just left his place but miss him already? Catch yourself smiling at something he said earlier? Why not type it out and send it his way. Many a lady hold back because they think they’ll scare a guy away, but this sort of guy is comfortable being vulnerable, and therefore likely seeks said vulnerability in turn. A text shows him he too is on your mind, gives him reassurance, and is a more subtle form of flattery than saying these things in person.
2. Say what you think: While hanging out together, don’t hold back. You know how your mind stops you from seeing things in hopes of not coming off cheesy, or out of fear of rejection? Who cares. The diehard romantic dies for this type of honesty. No need to go overboard, or create things just to make him feel good, but instead, share genuine thoughts and feelings you have.
3. Listen and take note of the little things they like: Starbucks order, a book they want to read, etc. and then, at a later time gift them with it. It’s a simple action, low in cost, yet shows them you are attentive and care enough to listen to their wants. How to actually remember: Store a note in your cell next time the two of you are out for coffee together, or when he mentions a new record/fave flavour jelly belly/something he likes or wants.
4. Never underestimate the power of a written note: Sure we can text, and email, and use every other form of communication, which I most certainly encourage, but we reinforce our interest by going a step above when we send a handwritten note. It need not be a novel, nor a confession of your feelings, but just a few lines (perhaps an inside joke) to keep you fresh in their mind. Ask Casanova for his address, get a blank card with an image or saying on the front that resonates with him (i.e.: a guitar if he’s a musician) and inscribe a little something, something.
