Toronto has a new addition to its running Rolodex of Greek restaurants, and surprisingly it’s not on the Danforth. Taking up residence in the Beaches, Trinity Taverna is challenging traditional notions of the Greek dining experience that we have come to expect in this city. The waterfront location gives Trinity an air of tranquility, which is reflected in the bright, spacious décor of the room. Filled with windows that provide prime views of the water, Trinity Taverna keeps elements of the Mediterranean visible with grand arches, high ceilings, a clean white palette brought to life with splashes of colour and a central water feature.
The open-concept design and casually elegant furnishings leave guests feeling as though they are dining in the stylish home of a Mediterranean friend or family member. With the extensive seafood bar and kitchen on display, diners are in full view of the culinary action. Trinity Taverna combines Greek staples such as gyros with refreshing new takes on traditional ingredients, such as the lamb tartare.
There may not be anyone screaming “Opa” over Saganaki at Trinity, but with the wealth of inspired offerings on the menu, we promise you won’t miss it.
