The other cast names include Rosalina Lee of Netflix’s Seoul Searching (2015), Franco Nguyen of CBC sketch comedy TallBoyz (2019), and Emmy nominated voice actor Eric Bauza. The five-episode series is written and directed by award-winner filmmaker, Betty Xie, who was inspired by the way she found comfort in her houseplants during this difficult time.
So how were the characters for the show born? Not only had Xie named each of her plants, but she had also come up with background stories for them. Anna, Opi, Allen, Wally, and Samson are the plant’s names in the show. They are voiced respectively by Bang, Lee, Nguyen and Bauza (who voices both Wally and Samson).
