Ever look out your office window and wish you could just go dancing during your lunch break? Better yet, what if your dancing lunch break was for charity? Well, Lunch Beat T.O. is returning to break up the monotony of the work week and make lunch a little more exciting. DJ Skinnzy will be spinning for an hour on Wednesday, October 16th at London Tap House, where you can eat a healthy lunch, socialize, and dance, all in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation and SickKids. Tickets are only $10 and available on the Lunch Beat T.O. website.
Lunch Beat started in 2010 in Stockholm, Sweden and has since spread to over 25 countries, being spotlighted on the BBC, Slate Magazine, and even Oprah. Looking to provide a break for people in the middle of their week, the events let attendees leave their office for an hour of dance-offs, healthy food, and… well… not work. Toronto had its first event last year, with 100 people raising more than $1,000 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. This year, let’s help ’em amp that up!
Just remember, the first rule of Lunch Beat: If it’s your first time at Lunch Beat, you have to dance!
