McDonalds’s Canada is bringing back McHappy Day for the 27th year in a row with even more ways for customers to support the cause. And there’s something else that’s new this year. A portion of the proceeds from every food and drink sold from the menu all day long will support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RHMC). It will also be donated to local children’s charities across the country.

McHappy Day
The date for the special day is September 22, 2021 and there are plenty of reasons to be excited. To start off, customers can buy McHappy Day Digital Hearts in-restaurant for a $2 donation during the weeks leading up to the celebration. Each purchase will come with a digital “thank you” video from Canadian athlete, celebrity, or member of the RMHC family. Menu items can be brought at the restaurant, through the McDonald’s app, delivery or drive-thru.
You can also donate $5 or more for a pair of exclusive McHappy Day x Peace Collective socks. In addition, the fast food chain has teamed up with regional captains in different provinces. This includes Cassie Campbell, Natalie Spooner, Patrick Langlois and others.
If you’re unable to support on McHappy Day, not to worry. There is the option to ‘Round up for RMHC’ on any of your orders at participating locations to support RMHC throughout the year.
