As I age I have noticed my skin tone getting flatter. While I used to have no trouble leaving the house without a stitch of makeup, I now always make sure to use a day cream with SPF and skin tone colour (read more about it here) so my skin evens itself out. But then that makes me look a little bland, especially in the summer when I’m surrounded by people glowing from tans (I need to get to a beach more often). I have recently started using a new Yves Saint Laurent product called Kiss & Blush, which is a 2-in-1 ultra blendable air-whipped mousse that highlights your lips and cheeks with a soft matte finish.
This new staple in my makeup bag is amazing for so many reasons. First, I can save money by using the same product on my cheeks and lips? So cool! Second, it has a matte finish, but like the name suggests gives you a nice glow on your cheeks should you be needing a bit of a rosy look. I like it because I can use it to highlight my cheekbones to give me better definition. Last, the texture is really nice on both lips and cheeks. It’s soft and creamy, and on my lips in particular it’s super hydrating.
Kiss & Blush comes in every colour imaginable – from bright fuchsia to lighter pinks to orange and brown tones. My personal favourite is Rose Frivole because its pink/purpleish hue is ideal for my medium skin tone.
Kiss & Blush is available at any Yves Saint Laurent beauty counter or online for $45.
