What a surprising sight it was to pull into a modern and contemporary styled building with the realization that it housed the exact prescription for my sweet tooth.
The decadent display case of specialty snacks greeted my arrival and not to mention the red velvet cake was screaming,”eat me!” *wink*. With it’s inviting entrance, Marilyn Monroe Cafe was definitely worth the drive to Oakville even if it’s just to sit in the company of its VIP tufted leather sofas.

With its grand opening celebration in order, the cafe was buzzing and attracted the attention of window shoppers eager for a snack size treat. In the presence of design elements courtesy of award-winning Creative Director, Daniel Charron from Indent Communications, he detailed every square inch with precision. With a strive to build brands and make them strong, Daniel has a long list of awards world-wide both in advertising and design just to brag. I had the pleasure of speaking with him and hearing all about the chic creation of the Marilyn Monroe Cafe brand.
The coffee beans were compliments of Oakville’s own Adam Pesce of coffee brand, Reunion Island. With it’s local flare, the coffee was delicious on its own and even better with a Rockslide Brownie. Lucky for me I was able to taste the entire menu without going into a sugar coma, which would have caused me to miss a great development presentation from the Chief Development Officer, Dave Craig.

With my caffeine buzz at full throttle, I could only handle so many of their brewed coffee blends, but I would have given them all up for the Raspberry Truffle Latte….or maybe the Caramel Macchiato, so hard to decide because they were all so good!
I’d like to send a big thanks to Pennant Media Group for putting on this grand opening celebration. Oh and one more thing! In true Trump Hotel style, the cafe included a digital glass television divider, perfect for looking at yourself while watching Cake Boss on the Food Network. Hit up this Oakville gem, it’s a definite sweet spot.
