Film buffs, fashion hounds and celebaholics rejoice as it is that time of year again!! With only 45 days until the new round of Oscar winners are announced, it is time that the world knows who exactly is in the lineup to win one of those naked gold men. Here at VTV we were up and at‘em to witness Chris Hemsworth (random, no?) and Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the President of the U.S. Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as they revealed the list of nominees in Beverley Hills, California.
No doubt this has been a hot, hot year for the film biz as far as talent and quality goes and the buzz suggests that it will be a tight race in the big categories. But what exactly determines a winner? Do they take into account physical transformation for a role? If yes then Jared is a shoo-in. Are the odds in your favour if you are just so ‘in’ right now? If so we’re sure to witness another big moment for the gorgeous J-Law. Or is it, as many believe, just all one big political, popularity contest?
Whatever the case may be, there is something magnificently magical about witnessing the best of Hollywood glide down the red carpet, flawless and fabulous only to watch on as the chosen few burst into tears in front of a global audience shortly thereafter. We are just giddy with excitement! And so without further ado, here are the nominees for the biggest categories this year and our bet at who the Big Winner will be in each:
