We’ve seen some wildly unique and interesting events and pop-ups over the course of the pandemic. But what about a post-to-pay pop-up? Yes, you read that right. Instead of paying with money, you can pay with social media posts instead at Pick-Me-Ups by MilkUP, Toronto’s first ever post-to-pay pop-up.

Pick-Me-Ups
So how does it work? It’s pretty simple. All you have to do is avail the delicious limited-edition treats at this pop-up is make sure you’re following @milkupontario on TikTok or Instagram and then post on your social media. Static posts, Insta stories, TikTok videos or reels are all accepted as payment. You have to tag the pop-up and include the hashtag #PMUxMilkUP as well in each of your posts.

The line-up of vendors is an impressive one too. Cops Donuts, Ruru Baked and Milky’s are some of the local establishments that serving goods at Pick-Me-Ups. Customers can get milk n’ cookies glaze donuts from Cops, peaches ice cream from Ruru and iced coffee from Milky’s. Kwento’s mini cheesecakes are also available.
Apart from food, you can also expect to find accessories and products from other local makers. This includes Adam The Illustrator (tote bags, stickers, pins), Buttercup Studio (necklaces) and Sheezus (clothes).
The event is set up at 639 Queen Street West and takes place every Thursday to Sunday until October 2, 2021. They open at 11 am and close as soon as all the items sell out. So you might want to get there early to make sure you get your hands on any of the goodies!
