Don’t be misled by those who would have you believe that the chorus of angel voices beginning to echo through the streets is related to the holiday season. No, no… it’s actually the sound of foodies blissfully bellowing after bellying up at Pizzeria Via Mercanti‘s second location, which has just opened up in soft launch at 87 Elm Street.
For those who complained that Kensington Market was too far off their usual beaten path for ‘za (lazy S.O.B.’s you are), the new more central location is currently open for daytime eats from 11am to 6pm. Naturally, they’ll be launching into full dinner mode in the coming weeks.
In case you were blithely unaware, Pizzeria Via Mercanti has consistently beaten the “heroes of pizza” in the city in taste tests and media ‘Best Of’ lists – sorry Libretto and QMP! Not only does Via Mercanti boast one of the most delectable doughs in Toronto, the toppings are always ample and fresh as can be.
We can’t wait to check out the new Pizzeria Via Mercanti location on Elm, but until we make our way over there we’ll simply watch its vibe video and reminisce about the first location in Kensington Market…
