It’s no secret that there has been a lot of pushback from restaurants on the Ford government’s recent announcement. Multiple venues across the city have been given the green light to operate at full capacity. Not on the list? You guessed it. Restaurants.
But an anonymous source tells us that that’s about to change because starting next week, the restriction will also be lifted for restaurants. Ever since the news from the government, many have been taking to social media to express their disappointment.
Given that the F&B and hospitality industries have been some of the worst hit during the pandemic, it’s not surprising that many are doubting the government’s intentions. While it’s a good sign that bans are being lifted and normalcy is returning, it can’t help but appear that restaurants are being singled out.
We don’t have information about the face masks’ policy or the social distancing rules. Many places already require proof of vaccination, so it’s safe to assume that that will not be changing soon.
