This South Indian crepe, crafted from a fermented batter of rice and lentils, offers a world of options and combinations. And as we all already know, Toronto boasts a thriving Indian food scene. So for this week’s edition, we’re exploring spots that offer the best dosa in The 6ix – you might see on your favourite on here or you’ll want to try them all. ; )
Here’s where you can get the best dosa in Toronto:

These include Paneer Dosa, Chili Cheese Dosa, and Pav Bhaji Dosa. If you want to keep it simple (but still as delicious), there’s the Sada Dosa, and Paper Dosa.
Madras Masala
Dosa is just one of the many South Indian specialties that the restaurant focuses on. You’re spoiled for choices here as well, with items like Plain Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Gunpowder Masala Dosa, and Madras Masala or Chili Egg.

My Roti Place
Some of you might know this place for their oh-so-yum stuffed rotis. But that doesn’t mean that some of the spotlight shouldn’t fall on their dosa offerings. The menu has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dosas, including those with shrimp, minced lamb, and chicken. For the traditional route, you can opt for the Podi Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa, Ghee Butter Dosa, and more.
Minerva Tiffins
It’s dosa galore over at Minerva Tiffins with two types of dosa available; one made from rice and lentils, and the other from green gram batter. In addition to the more common dosa options, there are also unique ones like Egg Cheese Spinach Dosa, Rainbow Dosa, and Pizza Dosa. I mean, there’s even Chocolate Cream Dosa! So if you’re looking to experiment, then you know what to do.
Kothur Indian Cuisine
While the restaurant offers a lot of different North Indian delicacies, you can also find the South Indian classic that is dosa on the menu. You can get it four ways; Plain Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Masala Dosa, and Cheese Masala Dosa.
Dosa Mahal
The name speaks for itself so you know it’s not going to take much convincing for this one. They indeed dabble with dosa when it comes to the menu with a range of both classic and special combinations. Some of these include Pizza Marinade Masala Dosa and Spicy Woodapple Masala Dosa.
