Wow. I wasn’t sure if the day would come where I would be writing this but we have officially made it to the other side! After two long years of COVID-19 fears and mandates, we have finally made it to a point in which mask mandates can be lifted. Despite word that masking mandates would be here for “quite some time” a few weeks ago, we were greeted with the news that mandates will be lifted on March 21st.

Say Goodbye to Mask Mandates in Ontario
On March 1st we were able to lift vaccine mandates much earlier than expected so it should come as no surprise that we’re already on our way towards lifting mask mandates. Although Ontario has had some of the toughest COVID restrictions in the world, we have finally made it to lifting of the masks!

We can now expect mask mandates to be lifted on March 21st for indoor areas including in schools, restaurants, gyms and stores. All remaining COVID-19 restrictions are set to be lifted by the end of April. The province’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Kieran Moore, announced the new changes Wednesday.
