Snoop D-o-double-g has made an appearance at a Toronto LCBO, and he is looking larger than life. 7-feet large to be exact. Head on down to the Front and Spadina LCBO to catch a glimpse of the very statuesque entertainer, standing amidst 400 wine corks celebrating the Snoop Dogg, Cali Red wine.

Cali Red Wine
Last summer Australian winery, 19 Crimes, teamed up with Snoop Dogg to create their first California wine. Cali Red is a part of the multi-year partnership between the wine company and the iconic rapper. The wine is a red blend – 65% Petite Syrah, 30% Zinfandel and 5% Merlot – that has been aged in American oak, and it contains rich vanilla and chocolate notes and hints of smoke. 19 Crimes original wines were inspired by the convicts who built Australia. Snoop Dogg’s redemption story is similar to criminals featured on past labels, making him a perfect partner for the wine brand.
“He embodies the true spirit of 19 Crimes: rule-breaking, culture-creating and overcoming adversity,” said John Wardley, TWE Marketing Vice President, Americas. “We are incredibly excited to partner with Snoop, and to be bringing this latest addition to the 19 Crimes family to Canada.”
Availability
To commemorate 19 Crimes’ Cali Red finally making its way to LCBO stores across Ontario, Toronto artist Jordan Sook was commissioned to create a celebratory statue. ‘Snoop Uncorked’ has found his temporary home at Toronto’s flagship LCBO, but he will only be there for a limited time so Drop It Like It’s Hot and catch him while you can. Painted matte black to resemble the finish of the Cali Red bottles, Snoop is looking extra slick.
“I’ve been a fan of this wine, and I’m excited to unveil my ‘Cali Red’ and share the experience with all my fans,” stated Snoop Dogg. “It’s one of the most successful brands in the market, so I’m more than eager to bring this collaboration to the world!”
In addition to being available in Ontario, Cali Red can be found at participating retailers in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
