It’s no secret that one of the most annoying things about the winter is having to get rid of the snow on your driveway or backyard. We could all use a little bit of help with that, and that’s where Skup and Skuper come in.
What is the Skuper app?
Developed by Skup Technologies Inc., a new company based in Toronto, the two apps can be viewed as an on-demand service for snow removal. Customers can request Skupers (anyone nearby using the Skuper app for the work) via Skup to come to their home and complete a job. Depending on the season and location, users can choose from a variety of services.
Additional add-on options include the application of salt on any snowed in area and brushing the snow off vehicles. Specific services for the summer will be released in an upcoming update.

How Does it Work?
The app will connect the customer to a nearby Skuper and the payment can be made directly through the app. You can also rate and tip your Skupers once the work has been completed.
The cost will vary depending on the size of the area, snowfall and the add-ons. You would only have to pay per job instead of paying a large amount for the entire season. The features of the app include:
- Request a Skuper anywhere, anytime.
- Automatic matchmaking with Skupers
- Add multiple addresses allowing you to request Skupers to your grandparents’ or parents’ house!
- Rate your Skuper and leave a review after the completion of a job
- View a picture of the finished job submitted by your Skuper
The company aims to bring convenience to homeowners when it comes to snow removal, mowing the grass and other seasonal tasks. It is also their goal to introduce new jobs to the market. Individuals can work as a Skuper, regardless of their previous experience.
