With the rise of COVID-19, businesses have had to adapt to new and creative to keep things running while keeping in mind of the safety measures. The Somersby Farmer’s Market has certainly risen to the occasion by setting up their contactless shop in the city. The Click & Collect shopping experience is set to offer consumers the opportunity to pick up items through an online pay-what-you-can platform. It is a collaboration between Somersby and family-owned online grocer, Veggies Delivered.
The initiative is not only designed to support local farmers, but also to ensure that customers can still enjoy fresh produce with physical distancing measures in place. Through the contactless process, the user can order 100% Ontario local produce bags. Once the order is placed, you can register for a pick-up time and collect your bag at the designated location.
There is a minimum order of $10, with a maximum of two bags per household. Consumers of legal drinking age will also get the chance to try out the Somersby cider, which will be offered as a complimentary sample pack upon pick-up. So don’t forget your ID, folks!
