What was life like without food subscription boxes? Can anyone remember? Well thankfully we’ll never have to go back to a life without these beloved time-savers. Not only are subscription boxes nice for saving time but they’re also delicious, unique and allow us to get creative in the kitchen with some guidance! If you’ve been on the hunt for an elevated box, how about boxes prepared by Michelin chefs?
Craving fine dining in the comfort of your own home? We’ve got the subscription box for you. Toronto start-up Spatula Foods has launched a meal-subscription service that delivers Michelin chef meals to Torontonians. You can bring 5-star meals into your home! What a treat!
“Our meals are specially engineered so you can’t detect they were previously frozen,” co-founder of Spatula and Michelin-trained chef Wallace Wong said in the release. Not only is Wong Michelin-trained but he is also a Top Chef Canada finalist and champion of Chopped Canada. His co-founder, Ian Weng, was also the former head of strategy at Uber Eats Canada so I think it’s safe to say Spatula is in VERY good hands.
According to their site, their mission is to “tap into the diversity and creativity of the local foodie scene” as they “partner with culinary superstars and Michelin-trained Chefs to give you everything you need to cook the cuisine that’s everything you want.”
Ordering is easy as 1-2-3 as all you need to do is explore their site, pick from their many dishes (which as start at 11.49/portion and include meals such as honey bourbon chicken, paella and pan seared tilapia) and build a box to be delivered weekly on Tuesdays in the GTA!
