There’s nothing Toronto loves more than supporting a fellow Torontonian on the path to success. From Drake to Simu Liu and now Nicolina Bozzo, The 6ix has a lot to be proud of! If you’ve been watching American Idol for the past season, it’s likely you’ve been cheering on for Toronto native, Nicolina Bozzo. Not only is she an amazing, talented singer but she’s got the performance skills of a star! We were all blown away by her recent rendition of “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and have our fingers crossed that she will win the entire season!

Nicolina Bozzo Stole the Show

A post shared by Nicolina (@nicolinabozzo)

American Idol season 7 was just blessed with Nicolina Bozzo’s performance of The Little Mermaid’s “Poor Unfortuante Souls.” Making history as the first villain to perform at Disney night, Bozzo absolutely stole the show and it isn’t just us who thinks so! In fact, after the performance, Katy Perry, who was dressed as Ariel, said just that along with the fact that the song was “so good, it was scary!” Talk about a compliment, right?

Over the past season we have seen Bozzo really come into herself and upgrade her appearances from traditional ballads to epic performances. At this rate Bozzo is on track to become the first Canadian to win American Idol. Imagine the celebratory cheers from The 6ix if that happens?!

“Honestly that was a PERFORMANCE,” “I think you stole the show,” “”That’s how you do showbusiness,” are just a few of the comments made by the judges after her performance.

Nicolina Bozzo is from Vaughn however claims Toronto to be her hometown and we couldn’t be more proud. Lets keep our fingers crossed and continue cheering her on from The 6ix! GO NICOLINA!
