As most of you might know, Ontario Place’s Waterpark is no longer open to the public, but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do in this area during the season of sun. The areas that are still open include the Ontario Place Marina, Atlantis Pavillion, Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, and Echo Beach. In other words… the fest side of things. Here’s what happening this summer at some of the great venues-within-venues found at Ontario Place.
The Digital Dreams Music Festival 2013
For all the live music, electro and techno lovers out there, the Digital Dreams Music Festival 2013 is something not to be missed. The event is held over the Canada Day Long Weekend from the 29th to 30th of June. Day one includes performances by Paul Van Dyk, Doctor P, Fake Blood, Porter Robinson, Bob Sinclair, and more. On the second day of the event you can enjoy performances by Mark Knight, Datsik, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and Tiesto. Tickets can be bought through Ticketmaster; exclusive VIP tickets are also available.
Beyond De Lime at Ontario Place
Food and music lovers alike can enjoy their weekend on the lake at the Beyond De Lime – 24 Hour Dusk to Dusk event. This special event takes place at Ontario Place on the 4th of August with ticket pricing starting at $20. Enjoy creative cuisine at the food festival followed by live music starting at 7pm.
Echo Beach Concerts
Located on the east side of Ontario Place, Echo Beach is the most spectacular licensed beach concert venue. This summer, all concert lovers can dig their toes into the real sand while enjoying performances by the likes of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Bjork, and Imagine Dragons. Ontario Place Marina
For those tourists or locals looking for a scenic adventure and tranquil surroundings, pay a visit to the Ontario Place Marina. This delightful marina is about a 10-minute drive from the city center and boasts accommodation space for over 240 vessels. All in all, it’s a picturesque scene.
