Do you find yourself counting the minutes until you’re off the bus and able to scroll through your IG feed without the use of data? Are you constantly going through your camera roll or reading through the tweets you already have loaded? Well, those days are ending! The TTC has announced they are rolling out free Wi-Fi on select bus routes. Hot 6ix summer is officially beginning. Patios, warm weather, free Wi-Fi on the TTC…can it get any better than that?

The TTC heard us wishing for Wi-Fi and they’re delivering! They launched a two-phased initiative that will test a variety of models on the TTC to gain feedback before launching a fully-managed customer Wi-Fi network later this year.
The ConnectTO program has been put in place to provide free Wi-Fi to high-priority neighbourhoods in Toronto. You can currently use this Wi-Fi service on the 35 Jane and 102 Markham Road routes.
Hoping to test some of this free Wi-Fi out? Log on by selecting the TTCPublicWiFi network on your device. Once you accept the Terms and Conditions, you’ll be good to go! More detailed instructions to log on are available on the Instructions to connect to the free Wi-Fi on select TTC buses.
