Get excited because 99 Yorkville Avenue is getting some colour courtesy of the legendary artist, Mr. Brainwash. This LA street artist will create a custom mural for the courtyard. Taglialatella Galleries Toronto is celebrating its one-year anniversary with this custom mural that will also launch a series of Yorkville Murals.
Mr. Brainwash will create a 70 by 7 foot mural that showcases his signature spray paint style. This renowned artist is involved with film, music, sports, and celebrity culture. He is also an active philanthropist that has donated his work to multiple causes including the Los Angles LGBT Centre and created a commemorative 9/11 mural to honour victims.
The 99 Yorkville Avenue mural will be followed by a 4-week exhibition called “Toronto is Beautiful.” This exhibition will have limited-edition custom prints that pay homage to our vibrant city. These weeks of spectacular art will start on July 11th and go until August 12th, 2019.
INK Entertainment’s Yorkville Murals will feature artists that are local and international, including RISK, Ben Johnston, Whatisadam, and more. This artistic initiative celebrating contemporary muralism is sponsored by Romeo’s Gin and will take place in the courtyard of 99 Yorkville Avenue from September 13th to 15th, 2019.
