When Adriiana’s single “We Are Young” off her debut self-titled album was used as the promo song for season two of Khloe & Lamar, the Canadian songstress catapulted into fame and signed with Ultra Music in the process. It looks like the Kardashians are the ones who have to keep up with her. Not bad for a girl who got snubbed from the finals on YTV’s The Next Star. Since then, Adriiana’s fourth single “Dancing in London” was also used in the popular TV show, Mr. D and she recently recorded “100 Voices”, an edgier pop single set to be released at the end of June 2014. And summer can never have enough summer anthems! Later this summer, Adriiana will release a track with rap superstar, Ludacris.
Tell us a bit about yourself. What should people know?
I’m a Canadian pop artist from Toronto by the name of Adriiana, otherwise known as Adriana Lombardo. I just turned 20, have been singing since the age of 5, and was on the YTV show The Next Star. My first single was released to radio at age 13, which I still am excited about. I’m definitely a very bubbly and honest person, and I enjoy working with new artists and meeting new people. Music is my world.
When did you know singing was your destiny?
Singing has been my destiny since I can remember…. I was 5 years old learning choreography and listening to artists such as Madonna and Celine Dion. I was blessed with such an amazing and supporting family who are highly involved in music as well. My dad took over as my manager and traveled with me a lot. When I write music and it inspires people, it makes me realize that I am blessed with a gift I must use.
What are the benefits and challenges of what you do?
The challenges would be the crazy schedules, trying to get enough rest and exercise, and definitely making sure that I work on my craft daily. There are so many benefits and exciting things to what I do. I’m blessed with such amazing fans, enjoying what I do very much, the travel and experience I get from going to new countries and meeting new people, the enjoyment in writing my own music, and inspiring other people.
Do you have any advice for people who want to get into the music industry?
If you put your heart and soul into it and you never give up, you can accomplish anything. Never take no for an answer.

My personal style is funky, bold, and definitely involves a lot of bling and a bit of sexy chic.
Most inspiring trip you’ve ever taken and why?
