We love to see a “Made in Canada” label sewn into the insides of our clothes. In fact, if those clothes happen to be as sleek and impeccably tailored as Jennifer Torosian‘s designs, then we’d gladly wear the label on the outside just to show off internationally. Although Torosian and her design partner, Raed Ali, source many of their extraordinary fabrics from Europe, they make their clothes right here in the Great White North, giving us more reason to be proud of our home country’s latest achievements in fashion. We caught up with the Toronto-based fashion designer to find out more about her burgeoning label and life in fashion…

What are the biggest challenges and best rewards about what you do?

My passport, green tea, and Ashtanga yoga.

I can never go wrong at Terroni.
What’s one of your favourite go-to designers/brands or accessories lines and why do you sport their fashions?
I like to pair my own Jennifer Torosian pieces with my favourite designers, such as Celine and Stella McCartney, for ease and elegance.
