What’s your favourite restaurant and why?
I’m fickle. Toronto has so many great restaurants that I’m tempted never to visit the same place twice, let alone pick a favourite. That said, I’m still thinking about an outrageously good dinner I had a few weeks ago at Campagnolo. I loved everything about it, though the highlight was a salted caramel pudding that I’m convinced the main ingredient was tryptophan. I immediately slipped into the deepest, most blissful, sugary coma.
What’s your favourite cocktail and where do you go to get it?
My favourite cocktail is whatever Robin Goodfellow is pouring. Many fun nights have started (or ended) with asking for a round of “bartender’s choice” – whatever Robin feels like mixing up. I always learn something when he makes me a drink – a new bourbon, some obscure artisanal syrup, or some insightful information about tolerance for hard alcohol.
What three Toronto landmarks should everyone Instagram?
Anything but your meal, please.
