Tell us a bit about yourself. What should people know?
I’m a graphic designer and nail artist. Being a designer in general has allowed me to be more creative with nail designs. I have always been interested in nail art. It’s a great way to express yourself, without being too obvious.

I have a wanderlust and want to travel as often as I can. I love learning about new cultures and languages. I am often inspired by fashion for my nail designs and traveling helps to broaden your visuals. I also enjoy photography and taking photos on my spare time. Especially when I am traveling, it becomes a constant visual feast for me.
As a nail artist, what have been some of the most innovative things you’ve painted on customers’ nails?
People like to be more creative with their nails during the holidays. I remember painting a white polar bear on one of my customer’s nails, and it was just adorable to look at. I also enjoy doing more abstract designs. People have been loving gold or silver stripes on their nails. It’s a great way to add a design without it being too much.
Do you have favourite brands of nail polish, and if so why?
I love Nubar and CND’s Shellac. The quality of their polishes are definitely above many other off-the-shelf brands.
What are your favourite nail trends of the moment?
I love minimal designs, playing with simplicity, and negative space. You will most likely see me wearing a coloured French manicure with a design on top.

What do you think some of the next big nail trends will be?
I think people in North America are slowly adapting to using more studs, rhinestones, and pearls. It’s insanely common and popular in countries like South Korea and Japan.
What’s always in your beauty bag?
I need to have a tinted lip balm with me wherever I go… and a nail file “in case,” because you never know. Some of my friends find it weird that I carry dental floss around but, trust me, it comes in handy.
