For a devout coffee drinker, Tabatha McIntyre couldn’t ask for a better job. As the Product Manager at KRUPS Canada, she gets to spend her days working with a brand and product she loves, and we’re guessing free-flowing coffee is one of the many perks. We caught up with McIntyre to find out more about her exciting job and busy life…
Tell us a bit about yourself. What should people know?
I am a devout coffee drinker and am passionate about cooking! I am also an avid weekend walker; I like to explore new neighbourhoods and see the seasons change with every stroll, as well as hike outside of the city as much as possible. I have two wonderful daughters that are my everything. I am a seasoned traveler and am constantly dreaming about my next adventure, even when I’m on one. I live for finding the best white t-shirt.
What are the biggest challenges and best rewards about what you do?
The biggest challenge is ensuring that I allocate my time to all the staff that help make the magic happen at KRUPS. Dividing time between internal, external, and email communications is tricky. In terms of rewards, I love seeing people’s reactions to watching how our products work and learning about how high-tech they truly are. Most often when I share with people the tutorial video for our KRUPS EA90, people tend to not believe it. This machine is a one-stop-shop for any and all coffee lovers. Want to have a cappuccino at home? No problem. Want to have a strong espresso at home? No problem. Even better, the machine is self-cleaning!
What are three things you can’t live without?
Coffee, my family and friends, and amplifying mascara.
Finish this sentence: I love Toronto because…
…there is always something to see or do. I am an avid fan of the AGO’s Wednesday nights. From April to October they offer free admission to everyone and anyone from 6pm to 9pm. It’s a great excuse for an impromptu date night that takes you out of home without spending too much.
What’s your favourite restaurant?
Tabule, Relish, and Gio’s (I can’t pick one!).
What’s one of your favourite go-to designers/brands?
I believe that fashion and comfort should always go hand-in-hand, so my go-to brands include Alexander Wang for his cozy tees, Hudson for comfy yet flattering jeans, and Converse.
What products are always in your grooming bag?
Vaseline, L’Occitane hand lotion, and light lip gloss.
What style trends are you obsessed with right now?
I am all about the reverse French manicure. It’s a fun way to try new colour combos, and change the expected to the unexpected.
Let’s get social for a mo’. How can people stay up-to-date with your busy life?
Twitter and Facebook.
