Less than one year ago I was privy to experiencing a new food tour company in Toronto – not gonna lie – I was skeptical. The Culinary Adventure Company arranges for their guests to enjoy the best of what a Toronto area has to offer in form of bars, restaurants and gourmet shops. Stella Yu (foodjunkiechronicles.com/2011/08/chefs-tour-of-little-italy-vlog.html#more) and I tried the Little Italy tour and the skepticism quickly vanished. It was a fun filled night that had us eating at some of the best Italian restaurants Toronto has to offer, drinking cocktails at the exclusive Temperance Society, walking off the calories in between stops and the best part: Chef Scott ensured there was never a dull moment! One year later, Chef Scott is not only celebrating his company’s first birthday, but also offering up new tours (Little India, Danforth Greek Tour, Cheese Tastings and more) as well as launching into Buffalo. This is a chef on a mission!
This past Monday night we celebrated this vivacious chef’s Culinary Adventure Company at the Drake Hotel where everyone was out to have a good time. Fidel Gastro’s was serving up the best pulled pork, beef and chicken sandwiches I have ever tasted, Sandbanks Wineries was behind the bar filling everyone’s glasses with some fabulous wine and Hooked was shucking oysters for all the foodies in the house. Huge turnout – very successful party!
