The spring event of the season, Greenwood Stakes returns to Toronto this May 25th at the Woodbine Racetracks. Last spring the city was treated to the event that had the sophistication of the Royal Ascot with the excitement of the Kentucky Derby. Yes, that means pack your Swagger hunny!
Presented once again by event producers Parade Agency and The Social Concierge, this year will see the event’s footprint expand to the brand new Trackside Paddock area. This unique event space, created as part of Woodbine’s ongoing renovations, will celebrate its grand opening with Greenwood Stakes and is located on the inside of the world-class E.P. Taylor Turf Course.

“We have been thrilled with the response from young business and hospitality professionals, artists, entrepreneurs and fashionistas,” said Tyson Villeneuve, Partner, The Social Concierge. “Toronto is a city of trendsetters, with its people having a fierce sense of individual style. We expect our guests to be upping their game even further this year as we cement the Greenwood Stakes as Toronto’s must-attend, fashion-forward social affair to kick off the spring.”
Drawing on signature elements of Vancouver-based sister event Deighton Cup – dubbed by press and attendees as the city’s biggest fashion and social event of the summer, attracting more than 6,000 people every year – the Greenwood Stakes brings two popular competitions to Toronto: the Style Stakes Best Dressed Awards and the Cocktail Jockey Mixology Showcase.
Tickets start at $75 and are available online on the Greenwood Stakes website. This is one event you DON’T want to miss.
