The Rosé Picnic: A Premium Event Like No Other

The 2018 Rosé Picnic in Toronto gives a whole new meaning to the word picnic. Canada’s largest rosé festival will be held on Aug. 11th, 2018 at the beautiful and newly restored Stanley Barracks at Hotel X. Rosé all day is not just a saying here – going from 11am to 11pm, the grounds will be filled with a sea of pink with over 3,000 of Toronto’s most laid back wine enthusiasts soak up the summer enjoying dozens of rosés paired with Chef Mark McEwan’s iconic signature dishes from the likes of ONE Restaurant, Bymark, North 44, Diwan and Fabbrica. And for every ticket sold, $2.50 will provide a meal for a child through Feeding Canadian Kids (details below).

The Food

We got a little sneak peak of the carefully curated signature dishes by Chef Mark McEwan himself and rosés that we can expect to indulge in and they did not disappoint. Taking from last year’s successful inaugural event, the food concept will be set up more like food stations so you can come and go as you please and eat as much as your heart desires. Here are some photos to get your mouth watering…

The Drinks

The festival’s featured rosé wines include Rrosé, Hogwash (a pleasant, lightly fruity, easy drinking rosé),  XOXO (a light bodied refreshing rosé with a touch of spice) and Thirty Bench (a medium bodied, dry rosé wine) by Pellar Estates and Moet & Chandon Rosé Champagne among other premium wines, beers and cocktails.

The Event

Every guest will receive an unbreakable wine glass to enjoy rosé all day and the first 1000 guests will receive a pink blanket. Outdoor activities and premium vendor stations will also be available for guests to enjoy including a Games Garden, make-up touch ups & mini manicures and fashion shows. Or just dance all day along to some of Canada’s top DJs who will be performing all day long. Dress code is enforced so make sure you wear pink and white as there will be plenty of beautiful backdrops throughout for photo opps – use the hashtag #RosePicnicTO.

BUY A TICKET, BUY A MEAL – For every ticket sold, $2.50 will provide a meal for a child through Feeding Canadian Kids.
