After an uncertain year filled with ups and downs, we finally have something to celebrate after a dreadful (but understandable) lockdown period. The beloved Toronto Christmas Market is coming back this year after it was put on hold for the 2020 holiday season.
Last year’s hiatus was the first time in the market’s 12-year history that it didn’t run but a spokesperson has confirmed to multiple outlets that the Distillery District’s annual holiday market will run from November 18 until December 31, 2021.

Toronto Christmas Market
It’s been reported by BlogTO that the market’s giant and iconic Christmas tree has been ordered for this year’s festivities. There are other details and programming that will be confirmed and revealed at a later date.
There’s no word from Toronto Christmas Market officials on whether this year’s festival will resemble those of years past. It’s definitely assumed that social distancing guidelines as well as safety protocols will be enforced and encouraged. It does seem, that due to the Christmas Market taking place outdoors that it’ll be able to take place. It all depends on whether Ontario enters another lockdown.
Only time will tell but our fingers and toes are crossed that we can celebrate the season.
