This week, on October 16th, FENDI celebrated the global in-store drop of the new capsule collection, Prints On, with a special cocktail event.
The event took place at the Maison’s newest Canadian flagship inside Holt Renfrew Yorkdale in Toronto. It gathered hundreds of Toronto tastemakers, influencers and media at the new 1,900 square-foot boutique. Some of the attendants were CAFA’s Vicky Milner, Brittney Kelleher, Ann Kaplan, Briony Douglas, Amy Shio, the Beckerman sisters and much more. All of them had chance to be among first to preview and shop the collection and enjoy the evening with Toronto’s DJ Gonnie Garko spinning tracks including the new song by PnB featuring Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz.
The new collection is a collaboration between FENDI’s Creative Director Silvia Venturini Fendi and a worldwide known artist Nicki Minaj. As the rapper and pop singer is mostly known for her bold, frisky sense of style, the capsule collection just screams of hip-hop street culture. It features shimmering metallics, fluorescent hot pink and the iconic FF logo all-over pattern.
Additionally, FENDI also unveiled an experiential activation steps from the new boutique in the Holt Renfrew Yorkdale. A hexagonal structure with a bright pink FF logo all-over pattern became the perfect photo opportunity at the event. Starting now and through October 30th the Prints On animation is open to the public during mall hours. The new boutique represents a connection between the Maison’s Roman heritage and the modern aesthetic. It’s divided into three areas: handbags, small leather goods and accessories, a shoe salon and ready-to-wear fur. The space is decorated with Karl Lagerfeld’s archival sketches, lavender carpets, champagne coloured modular velvet sofas and burgundy arm chairs.
At this time FENDI operates three boutiques in Canada. In the following year they are expected to open new Men’s and Women’s boutique at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy in Montreal.
