Here are some things to do in Toronto this week:
Fall N’ Leaves
This food and wine bar pop-up at Bathurst & Richmond has all the pumpkin and fall vibes. Visitors can expect live music, a wood fire BBQ pit, date night paint nights and lots more. The event runs until October 17, 2021. Admission is free but the activities like wine tasting and paint nights require separate tickets. More details can be found online here.
Edwina Sandys’ Art Exhibition
Edwina Sandys (Winston Churchill’s granddaughter) will be hosting her famous “Christa” series at the Iona Studio. You can also check out a variety of other works at the art gallery studio. The exhibition will be running until October 30, 2021 at 190 McCaul St., Toronto. You can book your appointment for the viewing here.
Enrique Iglesias & Ricky Martin
Spend the evening with music from Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin. The artists will be performing at the Scotiabank Arena on October 7 and 8, 2021. The show starts at 7:30 pm and tickets can be secured online here.
Pulse Topology
The art installation is done by Mexican-Canadian media artist, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. Hosted by The Bentway and Exhibition Place, the installation is situated at a never-before-seen area under the Gardiner Expressway. 3,000 lights are used to create a landscape of mountains and valleys. But here’s the really cool part. The lights will respond according to the pulse of your heartbeat. It’s available for viewing until October 31, 2021 and tickets can be booked here.
Andy Warhol Exhibit at AGO
If you’re an Andy Warhol admirer, then you’re not going to want to miss out on this special exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario. All the pieces on display span over four decades of his career as a pop art icon. This includes all of his famous celebrity portraits as well. The exhibition is running until October 24, 2021 and tickets can be brought here.
Fried Chicken Fest
Head over to the Street Eats Market this weekend for the annual Fried Chicken Fest. The official vendors for the event include Jerk Brothers, 6 Spice Rack, The Holy Grill and lots more. The festival’s taking place at the Scarborough Town Centre on October 9 and 10, 2021.
