Looking for some great things to do this Halloween in Vancouver? We’ve got your rundown…
Check out the Haunted Trolley Tour for a night of ghostly fun. Catch your ride from Canada Place starting now through October 31st (tours depart on the hour starting at 7:30pm until 9:30pm and cost $40 per person). Get whisked away into the night as you tour old sections of our seemingly fair city with a darker story to tell. Listen as your hosts share stories about troubled spirits, gruesome events, murders and more. You’ll tour your way around Stanley Park, making your way toward the old mansions of Shaughnessy before landing at Mountain View Cemetery and then finally visiting the Vancouver Police Museum’s autopsy room.
Fright Nights at PNE is back for another year of chilling good times from now until November 2nd, and it’s bigger and better than ever. Creep your way (if you can, that is) through six different haunted houses that have been fully decked out and are guaranteed to have you screaming like a little girl. Couple that adrenalin rush by taking in a freak-show: The Monsters of Schlock and a dozen different rides. It’s one of the most popular ways to get into the Halloween spirit. Hunker down for a movie night at the Rio Theatre where they’re featuring the classic Wes Craven flick Halloween. It’s where it pretty much all began (or at least where Jamie Lee Curtis’ lungs got a major work out with all that screaming). Whet your own whistler with booze (they’ve got a licensed bar), camp out and squeal as Michael Myers hunts down his victims one by one… Cost is only $6 if you go in costume, or $8 otherwise. Be sure to check out one of Vancouver’s fastest growing Halloween events that sees the Classical Chinese Garden transformed into a terrifying Chinese Haunted House complete with plenty of gore. This Haunted House features dancers, actors, musicians who all bring the chilling stories (as told by Judge Dee – China’s Sherlock Holmes) alive. Creep your way along the Garden’s haunted pathways as you sleuth out the clues to solve a murderous crime – or meet a gruesome fate. Tickets are only $12 and can be purchased here.
