We know that many small and new businesses found success during the pandemic in the middle of the lockdown phase. From baked goods to savoury treats, people were turning their homes into temporary professional kitchens. Like for many others, it paid for Jon and Priom Oliver, when the couple began offering letter-shaped doughnuts in Toronto. Now after two years, they officially have a new storefront at 235 Spadina Avenue.
Letterbox Doughnuts In Toronto
Although neither were versed in the culinary space, that didn’t stop the duo from giving it a try. The business had initially started online back in August 2020, giving people the chance to get their hands on some creatively designed treats. Got a special message you need to spell out? Then that’s where Letterbox comes in.
Fresh ingredients with no preservatives is at the heart of their baked items. It is prepared daily, ensuring that the product provides the optimal flavour straight from the oven. While the doughnuts are not stuffed or filled, the team has varied options for glazes and sprinkles.
The colours can be changed for the traditional glazes (galaxy, marble and traditional) while they’re fixed for the flavoured and limited-edition ones. With sprinkles, you can either do a single colour or make it a rainbow. The message for the doughnuts can be selected online when you’re placing the order by filling out a form.
In celebration of the store opening, the bakery has specifically released a cookies-and-cream flavoured filled doughnut and a Grammar Box.
