Many restaurants, coffee shops and cafes from around the world have been calling Toronto home as well with new branches. So it definitely seems like the city’s getting attention. This has also been the case of a global steakhouse name that has announced its plans to enter the Canadian market in the coming years. Which means a new Brazilian steakhouse in Toronto is in the works, folks.

The brand has teamed up with Debut Development Group to take care of franchising across the country. For now, according to the agreement, there’s talks to open up around 10 locations. Fogo de Chão was founded in Brazil, after which the first US branch opened in 1997. Since then, they’ve opened up many locations across the States, Mexico and the Middle East.
And for their first Canadian location? Toronto, of course. Once it’s open in 2023 during the summer, the next location is set to be in Vancouver. Similar to their locations, this too will consists of sprawling and spacious interiors.
The menu consists of different types of steak, including porterhouse, filet mignon, picanha, wagyu ancho and more. Additionally, there’s a seafood and a range of dishes with chicken, lamb and pork. The restaurant’s Market Table also has charcuterie, whole foods, Brazilian brunch features.
The exact location and date of the opening of the Brazilian steakhouse in Toronto hasn’t been announced yet. But keep your eyes peeled for more updates about Fogo de Chão’s Canadian expansion.
