With the large presence of Asian cuisine here in the city Torontonians are lucky they can try so many different Asian dishes. With a tapestry of cultural influences from places like China, Japan, Vietnam, India and others, you can find both authentic and fusion offerings in Toronto. You can also find Asian dishes or ingredients at many supermarkets and grocery chains. There is an increasing number of places within the city for Asian food offerings specifically, like Superfresh, BOLD Food Hub and a more recent one in one Toronto mall.
Here’s what you need to know about the food hub at Fairview Mall
The CF Fairview Mall used to have a Sears store on the first floor and now, in its place, is a food hub that sells different Asian foods. This goes for both dessert and savoury options. In fact, just yesterday, the mall welcomed a new T&T Supermarket branch in the same location.
At the supermarket you can shop for meat and produce, a bakery section, snacks, condiments, and more. There’s also an area where customers can indulge in some street food snacks.
Other than T&T Supermarket, here’s a look at the food and beverage vendors that are present at the food hub:
- Lucullus Bakery: Traditional Hong Kong buns and pastries
- Fuwa Fuwa: Soufflé pancakes
- Hazukido: Japanese croissants
- Mac’s Sushi
- Real Fruit: Bubble tea and fruit drinks
- Thai Express: Classic Thai dishes
- Saint Germain Bakery: Chinese pastries, cookies and cakes
- Urban Cova: Juices and smoothies
- Xing Fu Tang: Bubble tea
In addition to these already-existing ones, there’s more set to open soon as well at the CF Fairview Mall in Toronto. This includes Omni Noodle, which specializes in hand-pulled noodles. There used to be a location at 235 Consumers Road, but it closed. There also going to be Bingz, which does Chinese crispy burgers. Another is Coconut Grove, which does Southeast Asian cuisine.
