After Muriel’s Wedding back in the early ’90s, pretty much anything with Toni Collette in it is considered golden in our books. She has a new flick, Lucky Them, that premiered Friday at the Isabel Bader Theatre, and she stars as a down on her luck music journalist who goes on an impossible journey to find an ex-boyfriend who happens to be an extremely sought-after, very-private musician. The trek leads to some serious self-examination and self-discovery, all the while being annoyed by an inept documentarian played by Thomas Haden Church. Sounds #AwesomeSauce. Lucky us, we got to catch up with some of the cast and director Megan Griffiths at the after-party for the premiere of Lucky Them at the fabulous AMC Storys.
