Nothing feels quite as badass as hanging out with a couple of indie music up-and-comers in a back alley on a break from sound check. We had the chance to catch up with Wes Marskell and Jason Couse of The Darcys this week, who are getting ready to perform at Festival Music House. This isn’t just any private show. Returning to TIFF for the fourth time, Festival Music House is actually an exclusive event that filmmakers, producers and directors are invited to so that they can check out up and coming bands. This gives film industry movers and shakers the chance to see what new acts they should consider for soundtracks and theme songs in film and TV. This year, The Darcys will be performing along with Dragonette, Diamond Rings, Nightbox, Mother Mother, Alex Cuba, Maylee Todd, July Talk and Michael Rault at the two-day series. Check out our interview with two of the fellas from the homegrown group as they dish on their new album, Warring, which drops in a couple weeks, what it means to play for #FMH13, and more…
