The third day of TIFF 2019 was just as exciting and busy! It was a day filled with celebrating and honouring various talent, while being engaged in inspiring and exciting discussions.

Here’s our recap of events for TIFF 2019 day three:

Artists for Peace and Justice Festival Gala (APJ Gala)

The Gala celebrates and awards cultural leaders for their lifetimes of service and raises funds for APJ’s ongoing community development work in Haiti. This year’s event, which was held at Windsor Arms Hotel, featured Dakota Johnson, Susan Sarandon, George Stroumboulopoulos, Yannick & Shantelle Bisson.

The Moet & Chandon bottle was autographed by some of the biggest names in support of TIFF. The bottle will be auctioned by TIFF with proceeds benefiting their Share Her Journey initiative supporting women behind and in front of the camera.

#SheInspiresMe Q&A at TIFF with Jennifer Lopez and the cast of the new film Hustlers.

The cast of Hustlers engaged in a unique #SheInspiresMe Q&A discussion hosted by Twitter Canada. The event was streamed live on Twitter via ‘@TwitterWomen’. The panel members consisted of Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer and Lili Reinhart. It was moderated by Dr. Stacy Smith (Founder, Annenberg Inclusion Initiative) and Nolan Weinstein ( Twitter’s Global Head of Culture, Engagement & Experiential).

Audi’s sponsored TIFF event for Knives Out on Sat. Sept. 7, featuring Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas. The Knives Out post-screening event was held at Patria.

Nordstrom Supper Suite Day 2

The stars dazzled Nordstrom Supper Suite’s red carpet for The Creative Coalition’s Spotlight Initiative Gala Awards Dinner. Honourees of the The Creative Coalition’s Spotlight Initiative Gala Awards Dinner included Keke Palmer (Hustlers), Nicolas Cage (Color Out of Space), Imogen Poots (Castle in the Ground), Alex Wolff (Castle in the Ground), and Chloe Bennet (Abominable). Presenters included Dean Norris, Wilson Cruz (wearing Canadian menswear designer Christopher Bates) and CCH Pounder.
