The Moet & Chandon bottle was autographed by top talent in support of TIFF. It will be auctioned by TIFF with proceeds benefiting their Share her Journey initiative supporting women behind and in front of the camera.

Power Women Directors Panel
Actress and director of There’s Something in the Water, Ellen Page, director of Harriet Kasi Lemmons, and Halina Reijn, director of Instinct, joined Sharon Waxman of TheWrap for the Power Women Toronto directors panel.
Panelists shared their perspectives on the state of women in film, and the inspirations behind their films that debuted at TIFF. TheWrap’s portrait studio partner Moët & Chandon closed the evening with a celebratory champagne toast.

OLG Panels
OLG (Ontario Lottery & Gaming) returned for the second year to the TIFF Bell Lightbox to take over the Malaparte space and rooftop on the 6th floor to create the #OLGDreamDeck. OLG presented seven panels with on-screen and behind-the-camera talent from September 6 – 9, including talent from: Tammy’s Always Dying, Oracle, Ema, The Obituary of Tunde Johnson, The Australian Dream, Endings, Beginning and the 2019 Rising Stars. The venue hosted the TIFF Opening Night Cocktail Reception on the rooftop, industry and filmmaker panels, and the coveted fourth annual B.L.A.C.K. Ball.

Harriet World Premiere Party
Following the world premiere of Harriet, the cast including Tony-award winner Cynthia Erivo, Joe Alwyn, Leslie Odom Jr., Omar J. Dorsey, Jennifer Nettles, Vondie Curtis Hall, Henry Hunter Hall, Zackary Momoh, Mitchell Hoog and Nick Basta attended a celebratory get-together at Mister C, the seductive lobby lounge inside the Bisha Hotel. The cast alongside director Kasi Lemmons enjoyed specialty themed CÎROC Vodka cocktails, Harriet and Freedom Fighter.
Other notable guests in attendance included: Nnamdi Asomugha, Nonso Anozie, Producer Debra Martin Chase, Kenny Leon and Taika Waititi.

The True History of the Kelly Gang @ Weslodge with Grolsch
Stars continued to celebrate this year’s festival as the cast of The True History of the Kelly Gang were spotted at Weslodge just before the film’s world premiere.The cast including Charlie Hunnam in a tailored blue suit, George MacKay, Essie Davis in a green velvet gown, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie in a stunning pale blue satin gown, Sean Keenan, Earl Cave, Marlon Williams, Louis Hewison, screenwriter Shaun Grant and novelist Peter Carey arrived at the popular TIFF restaurant for a selection of canapes and Grolsch.
