Can you even call yourself a Torontonian if you haven’t been to the Toronto International Film Festival? Whether you’re a TIFF virgin or a seasoned attendee, this year is going to look a little different. The pandemic put a damper in all in-person events the last few years but luckily this year will consist of in-person events again. From tickets to health protocols and everything in-between, this TIFF guide will prep you for success at the festival this year.
TIFF 2022
The Toronto International Film Festival is a non-profit organization that wishes to transform the way people view the world around them through film. Each year the festival consists of screenings, lectures, discussions, festivals, workshops, events, professional development and opportunities to meet, hear and learn from filmmakers from Canada and around the world. TIFF is actually the worlds largest film festival and this year from September 8 through 18 over 360 films will be screened. In-person films will be shown at TIFF Bell Lightbox, Roy Thomson Hall, Royal Alexandra Theatre, Canadian Broadcasting Centre, Cinesphere IMAX Theatre, OLG Cinema Park, Scotiabank Theatre, Slaight Music Stage, Visa Screening Room at the Princess of Wales Theatre and Festival Village.
