Things are slowly starting to feel normal once more, so it’s no surprise that patio reservations are getting booked left and right. The restaurant has opened its patio for the time in its history as part of the City of Toronto’s CaféTO program. As a part of the celebration, guests can find a small plates menu featuring some of the Hong Shing’s most popular dishes. The patio is open Tuesday to Sunday from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm and operates on a walk-in basis.

The Lot at CF Sherway Gardens
One of the largest patio destinations was launched on July 9 at the west parking lot of CF Sherway Gardens. The patio is home to more than 30 restaurants complete with a 100 picnic tables. The Lot is open Monday – Saturday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and on Sunday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Customers will be served on a first come first save basis.
Must haves: Joey Restaurants, Cactus Club Cafe
Experience traditional Portuguese flavours at Bairrada Churrasqueira. The menu features options for sandwiches, seafood and grilled meats. The patio is open from 11 am daily and they are closed on Tuesdays. Seating is available on a walk-in basis.
Must haves: Frango no Churrasco (BBQ chicken) with Piri Piri sauce
Another one to our list of patios of the week is for the coffee-lovers. If you’re on the hunt for a cozy coffee shop patio, look no further than Cafe23 at Queen Street West. Indulge in everything from ethically sourced coffee and tea lattes to pastries and bagels. And the atmosphere itself has garden vibes all around, perfect for the summer.
Must haves: Butter tarts, St-Viateur Sesame Bagels
Travel to Italy with the Italian-inspired menu at FIGO. Find a variety of options for pizza, pasta and starter dishes. The patio is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 am to 10 pm and on Sunday from 10:30 am to 10 pm. The restaurant is closed every Monday. Reservations can be made online here.

Amal is home to Lebanese soul food with a modern twist. Sharable dishes flavoured with authentic spices and unique ingredients are a specialty at the restaurant. They have a separate menu each for brunch, lunch and dinner. Each one comes with a variety hot and cold mezze, skewer platters and more. Amal is open at 11:30 am from Monday to Friday and at 10:30 am during the weekend. Reservations can be made online here.
