Cheers to 2022, Toronto! As we ring in the new year, we hope you’ve had a safe and fun holiday season. As always, we’re ready to kickstart the new week (and year) by of course, talking about the city’s culinary scene. So without further ado, here is our roundup of the top restaurants of the week.

Here are the top six restaurants of the week:
Crosley’s
The Ossington Avenue restaurant has risen to popularity for their unique menus, that alter seasonally. With a focus on highlighting the best of local ingredients, Crosley’s serves dishes with ingredients that are sustainably sourced. They’re open Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm – 11pm and reservations can be made online here.
Atai Bistro
Atai Bistro is known for their French-Moroccan inspired flavours. Along with a brunch menu that’s available on Saturdays and Sundays, the restaurant also serves a separate dinner menu. Customers can expect everything from mezze platters and flatbreads to ribeye, lamb and more. They’re open Wednesday to Friday from 5pm – 11pm and on the weekends from 10am – 3pm and 5pm – 11pm. Barans
In the mood for some Turkish cuisine? Make sure to add Barans to your list. The menu features a selection of hot and cold appetizers, salads, family platters, grilled dishes and saç tava (similar to sizzling fajitas). They’re open Tuesday to Friday from 11:30am and from 10:30am on the weekends. Check out their website for reservations.

Selva
The immersive multi-sensory bar offers not just a meal, but an experience. With an Instagrammable location featuring stunning artwork, there’s certainly a lot to see at Selva. Not to mention, a menu designed by none other than Chef Nuit Regular. They’re open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm and reservations details can be made here.
Must haves: Tacos, Corn Fritters
TORA
As the sister restaurant to Miku, TORA is part of the Aburi Restaurants group. The focus of the menu is aburi sushi, which is flame-torched sushi. Whether you’re looking for nigiri, sashimi, rolls or other hot and cold mains, they’ve got you covered. No reservations are needed and they are available for both takeout and dine-in and more details can be found on their site.
Must haves: Brussel Sprouts, Aburi Oshi Sushi
Pastor Taco
Just like the name suggests, the Mexican joint located at Cabbagetown serves a delicious range of tacos. The flavours include chicken, pork, shrimp, and crunchy bean & cheese. Pastor Taco is open Monday to Saturday from 12pm – 7pm and Sundays from 12pm – 6pm.
Must haves: Pulled Pork Tacos
