Dim Sum King
Chinese food cravings? Look no further than Dim Sum King. The extensive menu is filled with a whole range of delicacies starting from BBQ, rice and noodles to dim sum (steamed, fried, sweet, vegetarian), seafood and meat. Must haves: Shrimp dumplings
Sample the flavours of Iraqi cuisine at Alforat. Their speciality lies in shawarma, which comes with the options of chicken, beef, or falafel. They also offer plates and sharable platters, like Iraqi Kebab, Lamb Quzi, Mixed Grill Platter and more. They’re open everyday from 11am with a location in North York.
Must haves: Beef Shawarma, Chicken Shawarma
Pukka is all about shining a light on Indian flavours with a fusion touch. The menu invites the customer to try foods from different parts of India, with dishes like South Indian Vegetable Curry, Stuffed Paneer, Lamb Lollipops, and more. You can also find a selection of starters and a wine list to pair. They’re open daily from 4:30pm and reservations can be made here.

Another one for our restaurants of the week is Donna’s, where simple and hearty dishes is the way to go. Along with sandwiches and salads, the restaurant also offers baked treats and beverages. This includes beer, seltzer, cider, and non-alcoholic options. They’re open Tuesday to Sunday from 8am – 4pm.
Must haves: Lamb Liver Toast, Leafy Salad
The taste of South-Central Italy is only a few stops away with Sotto Sotto. The restaurant serves a selection of Italy’s classic dishes, all with bold and rich flavours. There’s plenty to choose from within the pasta options alone. There’s also dishes with veal, chicken, fresh fish, and fully vegetarian ones as well. They’re open from 12pm and reservations can be made through the website here.
Must haves: Grilled Fresh Fish, Grilled Octopus
Enjoy authentic Polish and Eastern-European dishes with a visit to Cafe Polonez. The menu features numerous traditional dishes (Hunter’s Stew, Potato Pancakes, Cabbage Rolls, etc.), schnitzels, sandwiches and soups. They also offer a wine list with both red and white wine options. The restaurant is open daily from 11am.
