Happy Monday, Toronto! A new week means a new roundup from us of delicious restaurants to check out to satisfy those cravings. And naturally, it’s also your sign to explore and sample new and exciting flavours that are offered in our city. For more on this, see below our list of the top restaurants of the week.
Here are the top six restaurants of the week:
Good Bite
If you’re in search of diner vibes, complete with fresh coffee and the classics, then look no further than Good Bite. Omelettes, pancakes and french toast options can be found on the breakfast menu. The separate lunch menu includes sandwiches, souvlaki, along with desserts and salads.
King’s Noodle
Like the name suggests, the restaurant is known for their various takes on noodles. But that’s not all that’s on offer at this Chinese hotspot. Their fried rice menu is just as extensive, and specials like deep-fried pork chop, spare ribs, chicken and squid. They’re open Thursday to Tuesday from 9am – 8:30pm.
Extra Burger
The burger joint has become a staple in the 6ix since the opening in 2017. The short and sweet menu features a fried chicken sandwich, cheeseburger and double cheeseburger. They also have a vegetarian option, which is the impossible burger. They’re open Tuesday to Friday from 4:30pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm.
Pure Spirits
Take in all the oysters and seafood to your heart’s content at Pure Spirits. Different types of fish-based dishes are available, including haddock, sea bream, and rainbow trout. The oysters come in six or 12 pieces, along with other items like shrimp cocktail and salmon crudo. They’re open daily from 12pm at the Distillery District.
Zezafoun
Discover the world of Syrian cuisine at this spot in Midtown. Try one of the dishes on the Chef’s Choice menu, like Fatteh (chickpeas, pita bread, tahini sauce), Syrian Mezza, Makloubeh (rice, tomatoes and ground beef), to name a few. They also offer meat and falafel platters, along with wraps. Zezafoun is open Tuesday to Friday from 11am and on weekends from 10am.
Dzô Viet Eatery
The Vietnamese joint offers a selection of flavours inspired by classic street-foods found in Vietnam. This includes items like Nem Nuong Smash Burger (minced pork patty), Bánh Tráng Nướng (Vietnamese pizza), Bánh Mì (bread) sliders, Viet Tacos and Xiên Nuong (grilled skewers). The restaurant is open Tuesday to Thursday from 4pm and Friday to Sunday from 12pm.
