The Crooked Cue
The restaurant focuses on a selection of pub fare and features a set-up complete with pool tables. They offer a dinner menu that includes sharable platters, entrees, salads, pizzas and more. The Crooked Cue has two locations in Etobicoke and Mississauga and reservations can be made here.
Must haves: Appetizers, burgers
The Ossington Stop
Ever wanted to sample Russian cuisine? The restaurant serves traditional Eastern European classics like Khinkali (Georgian dumplings), Borsch (Ukranian/Russian beet soup) and Crepes with Mushrooms. They’re open every Wednesday to Sunday from 6 pm – 12 am.
Must haves: Khinkali
Toast On Bloor
If you’re looking for all day breakfast or brunch, then Toast on Bloor is the place to check out. The menu has everything from french toast and breakfast poutine to steak and eggs and salmon on rye. They also have a range of sandwiches and beverages. The restaurant is open Monday to Friday from 9 am and from 8 am on weekends.
Must haves: Eggs Benedict, pierogies
In the mood for some gyros and souvlaki? Alexandros has been a Greek staple in Toronto for more than 20 years. Gyros on pita, Chicken Souvlaki Dinner, tzatziki and burgers are some of the many items they offer. They have multiple locations including at Queens Quay and Danforth and they’re open daily from 11 am.
Must haves: Pork Gyro, Chicken Gyro
Bar Le Germain
Located at the Le Germain Hotel Toronto, the bar hosts a Wusian Fusian menu. It’s short and sweet with a selection of fusian snacks and classics like Torched Umami Fried Chicken Sammich and Steak Frites. They’re open Monday to Sunday from 4 pm – 10 pm and reservations can be made here.
Must haves: Togarashi Octopus
Experience the flavours of an authentic Korean BBQ at Daldongnae. Customers can find a range of pork and beef dishes, soups, cold noodles, kimchi, egg rolls and lots more. They’ve got branches at North York, Downtown and Scarborough. The restaurant is open daily from 12 pm and reservations can be made via phone call.
