Happy Monday, Toronto! New week, new restaurants to check out. And this week, we’re covering some of the best Vietnamese places that our beloved city has to offer. Here are our Top Six Vietnamese Restaurants of the Week:
Pho Tien Thanh
Located on 57 Ossington Avenue, the restaurant offers a variety of rice and noodle dishes, along with of course, plenty of phở options as well. Congee is also available with protein choices including chicken, beef, duck and seafood. Vegan phở is one of the items, featuring a vegetable soup base with tofu. They’re open daily from 11am.
Golden Turtle
This has been a Toronto staple since the opening in 1987. The highlight of their menu is phở, with over 17 items available. The menu also has separate sections for vermicelli, Singapore style noodles, Thai style specials and plenty of rice dishes. Golden Turtle, which is situated at 125 Ossington Avenue, is open for dine-in Wednesday to Monday from 11am. Online orders can be placed on the website here or on any of the delivery platforms.
Hanoi 3 Seasons
Experience fine dining with Vietnamese food at Hanoi 3 Seasons. They have a location each at Leslieville, and Riverdale. The menu covers a range of appetizers, seafood dishes, meat items served with rice or vermicelli and over seven phở with a vegetarian option. They’re open for dine-in and online orders can be placed on the site here.
Banh Mi Boys
What started out as a small mom-and-pop shop grew into a larger business, now with multiple locations. As the name suggests, the specialty is bánh mì, but they offer a more modern take on the traditional Vietnamese dish. One of their best sellers is the Five-Spice Pork Belly option, while vegetarians and vegans can opt for the Lemongrass Tofu.
Mi Mi Restaurant
Located at 688 Gerrard Street East, the restaurant features everything from soups and rice dishes to vermicelli and customizable platters. The appetizers include spring rolls, pork chops and salads. They’re open daily from 12pm for dine-in and online orders can be placed online here.
Cà Phê Rang
The bánh mì restaurant offers a compact list of items for their bánh mì, phở, spring rolls, and a selection of drinks. The sandwiches are available with either assorted cold cuts, brisket, pork, prawn cake or halloumi, while three options are there when it comes to the soup. The restaurant is located at 147 Spadina Avenue and open daily from 11am.
