Warmer days are within near reach and we can only hope that means we can dine out soon enough. With Toronto still in a grey zone lockdown, restaurants, bars and clubs are still shut for indoor dining. That might change in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we can still enjoy our favourite meals right at home. On that note, here’s our weekly roundup of the restaurants of the week in the 6ix.
Aburi Pâtisserie
This is the latest concept by the Aburi Restaurants group. They offer a collection of bespoke desserts that are artisanally crafted. Items include tarts, macarons, cakes and more. Available for pre-order via Tock, with pick-up at 10 Bay St.
Manita
Situated in Ossington, this place is a cafe, grocery and bar. They specialise in a variety of sandwiches and burgers. Available for pick-up and delivery via Ritual, Uber Eats and Doordash.
The Parlour
This hidden gem offers stone-baked, oblong pizzas with lots of different options for toppings. One of their popular ones is the Goldmember, which has caramelized onions, mushrooms and Yukon gold potato. Available on Uber Eats and Doordash.
Osmow’s
This Mediterranean hotspot offers both shawarma wraps and platters. They also have daily specials that run throughout the week. Available on all Uber Eats, Doordash and Skip the Dishes.
Marben
If you’re in search of a farm-to-table dining experience, look no further than Marben. The menu features items like Eggplant Tikka Masala, Chorizo Bangers & Mash, burgers and more. They are currently offering tasting menus for two or more people every Saturday evening. Available for pick-up and delivery via their website, Ritual and Ambassador.
Mother’s Dumplings
They’re located at Spadina Avenue, and specialises in dumplings. The affordable price also makes it an attractive catch. You can get pan fried or steamed dumplings, and rice and noodles.
