Toronto Light Festival

Where: The Distillery Historic District
Lights! Camera! Action at the Toronto Light Festival. End off your Family Day celebrations with a night in the Distillery District. You’ll find dozens of light art installations from both domestic and international artists. From sundown until late into the night walk around and see how beautiful lights can be. It’s the perfect place to take some photos with the family and for Insta. The best part of the Festival? It’s free night of art and fun!
Winter Stations 2019

Where: Woodbine Beach
Go the artistic route with your loved ones this Family Day. Back for another year the shores of Woodbine Beach is home to public art installations. The exhibition opens on Family Day so make sure to be some of the first to see what installations are featured this year. Celebrate the holiday and Toronto’s winter waterfront with your family. Plus you can sneak in some artistic shots for your Instagram profile.
Fun With The Kids
DUKE on Ice Family Winterfest
When: February 18
Where: Champagne Centre
Bring the family out for some fun in North York. The day will be filled with numerous types of activities to keep the young ones busy and happy. From skating, free giveaways and of course food, this Winterfest has something for everyone.
Kids Fest Toronto
When: February 16 – 18 (10 AM – 6 PM)
Where: The International Centre

There’s nothing more appropriate in celebrating Family Day than a whole festival dedicating to kids. Kids Fest is full of inflatable fun for kids to climb, slide and jump on. If inflatables aren’t your style the festival still offers a variety to other activities, games and crafts. When the kiddos get a little hungry you can grab some food and drinks and then get back to the fun and entertainment.
Family Funday Weekend: One World
When: February 17 – 19 (11 AM – 4 PM)
Where: The Royal Ontario Museum
Cost: Free with regular museum admission
The ROM is hosting a full weekend of family fun this long weekend. With the theme of multiculturalism the ROM has a slew of musical performances and activities for both kids and adults to enjoy. Each day is packed with various cultures coming together, offering kids a look into the world that they live in.
Fun For Everyone
Winter at Ontario Place
When: February 16 to 19
Where: Ontario Place – West Island
Enjoy all that winter has to offer at Ontario Place. The West Island is your destination for your favourite winter activities and attractions. You can also take a break from the cold to grab some warm food and drinks and sit by a bonfire. So make sure to bundle up and see what fun you can have during the winter time.
Brewer’s Backyard Family Day
When: February 18 (11 AM – 5PM)
Where: Evergreen Brick Works
Escape the cold and enjoy Family Day with a good brew and food. The ‘tap takeover’ offers a variety of beers to taste and a selection of yummy food to satisfy everyone. It’s an all ages events so don’t be afraid to bring the kids and enjoy a day of Family Day festivities.
